Our core values and principles:

  • Youth-led (with youth being defined as persons 35 years of age and under).
  • Zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, and violence in all its forms and dimensions, online and offline.
  • Affirming LGBTQIA+ rights, as an inclusive, friendly, and safe space.
  • Grassroots, community, and lived experience-led and informed.
  • Horizontal leadership with no organisational affiliation to ensure power is shared and intentionally distributed, and where everyone’s participation has equal value.
  • Affirming gender equality in all its forms, including access to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
  • Intersectional in our approaches with human rights and gender equality as cross-cutting themes.
  • Commitment to accountability, including holding each other as young peers to account as well as decision-makers.
  • Transparency in our work, communications, and convening to build collective power and solidarity without exclusion.
  • Open communication flows for information sharing, knowledge strengthening, and for feedback.
  • Respect for intergenerational partnerships.
  • Acknowledgement of the historic acts of the United Kingdom and ongoing impacts, opening up our spaces and extending solidarity to other youth-led movements.
